The brilliant Steve Gadd’s playing is a mix of the drumming of jazz legends such as Max Roach, Elvin Jones, and Tony Williams. The three drum breaks played on Aja show some of his iconic phrasing and licks. Here’s a demonstration, extracted from the Master Series DVD, played by Steve.
