Francis V – A Place for Dreamers – New Album Available Everywhere!

I’m glad and proud to share my new album A Place for Dreamers (Timeless Music Records), available everywhere from November 30. In the last two years, I worked hard to compose, produce, and mix a concept album of 14 tracks for 56 minutes. The entire album is conceived as a conceptual work with recurring themes and a cyclical structure (as suggested by the colors of YouTube videos), with the last ambient track “Endless” connecting with the first “Prelude.” Exploration, self-discovery, isolation, boundless imagination, and dreams are some of the album’s themes, exploring various styles from electronica to pop, trip-hop, and ambient.

At the end or beginning of this immersive journey, I have to thank you the team of Timeless Music Network (of which I’m the founder) for the massive work of mastering, promotion, marketing, and content creation to support the release.

A Place for Dreamers is available for download and stream on all digital stores and streaming platforms: bit.ly/a-place-for-dreamers.

Talking about recording and drumming, A Place for Dreamers features acoustic and electronic instruments. The orchestral string parts were recorded remotely as a single line by music freelancers and friends of mine. Then, the recorded parts were doubled and reinforced with virtual instruments. Conceived for the most part as an instrumental album, the vocal tracks “Dreamers” – “Every Moment With You” – “Beyond the Horizon” and “Lost in Space” were born from the collaboration with talented singers who also wrote the lyrics.

The album features both real drums and drum machines (and I know some drummers can never understand this choice), mixed or arranged separately for each song’s section. For example, “Dreamers” and “Beyond the Horizon” include a drum machine beat in the verses and live drums in the chorus. Differently, the third track “Fish Out of Water” mixes a drum machine beat with a cross-stick pattern on drums. “Devotion” features three drum lines: the main brush beat, the “circular” subtle jazz pattern, and the drumset part with sticks; a classic drum machine is featured in the last song’s section.

Any feedback, comments, or thoughts about my new release would be much appreciated. You can follow my artistic project Francis V and listen to my past singles and EPs in the links below. All the best!
