Featuring Celso de Almeida on drums, “Ladeira da Preguiça” is a track from Rosa Passos’ album Azul (2002) that was originally composed by Gilberto Gil back in 1974.
The first section has a Partido Alto groove moving to a samba feel in the verse section. The refrain/bridge has a distinct groove. The most challenging aspect is playing the right hand on the hi-hat and cymbal at approximately 96 bpm. Slowing down can help in putting it all together.
