Migration by Bonobo has been one my favorite album of 2017, a perfect example of what electronic music must be: interesting and sophisticated. The use of vocal samples is impressive and as done with his previous albums use of vocalists give at the songs a great appeal, something you could remember.
Written together with Jon Hopkins, the self-titled track of the album open with a minimalistic-classicist piano melody, combined with electronic sounds and vocal samples. The drums played by Jack Baker add a beautiful modern jazz touch to the song. Here’s the transcription of the main groove:
